What is Q-switched laser?

Q-switched laser is a laser to which the technique of active or passive Q switching is applied, so that it emits energetic light pulses. Q-switched laser treatment is an effective laser treatment that removes dark spots, freckles and tattoos. It rejuvenates the skin and enhances it from deep within the layers.

How does Q-switched laser work?

The Q-Switched ND-YAG is a versatile laser that offers different wavelengths to target a variety of skin conditions. When treating pigmented lesions such as freckles, melasma, sun damage, pigmentation and age spots. It targets melanin occurring in the skin. The pigmented lesion absorbs the light energy from the laser and converts this energy into heat, selectively destroying the target but leaving the surrounding tissue unharmed. 

Pre-laser preparation:

Do not tan your skin before the Q-switched laser

Do not use chemical peel, retinol and VC products a week before the Q-switched laser

Do not get sun damage before the Q-switched laser

Post laser preparation:

It may take 10-14 days to remove the dark brown colored scab from the skin after the treatment

Do not get exposed to sun frequently, stay in as much as you can
